Samsung To Start Making 64-Bit Chips, May Be Featured In Galaxy S5
Samsung recently announced that it is soon going to start producing the 64 BIT SoC chips, these chips will allow the usage of larger amount of RAM. It is expected that Samsung may bless the Galaxy S5 with this Chip, making it the first Samsung device to run on a 64-bit architecture.
There are no indications from Google about the next version of Android will support 64-bit hardware or not. If it does not support then Samsung’s effort may go vein. It is rumored that the Galaxy S5 will be water and dust proof and will feature eye scanner. This device is said be announced in June 2014 time period.
"Apple is the first company to come up with a 64bit Smartphone. The A7 chip on Apple device is made by Samsung. And both these firms are now rumored to be working on the A8 chipset. With these giant firms bringing the 64-bit architect to Smartphone devices and Tablet we may soon see more and more companies walking on these strategies."
